well I am finally gettign around to caring for my 29 gallon planted. Yesterday I added 3 black skirt tetras in with 5 high-fin pepper cories. I plan to add another cory (one died during the move to the smaller tank) and 6 more BSTs.

Questions:
It needs an Algea eater, what algea eater will do best in this tank?
what else can I add?
Will a trio pearl gouramis go in this tank?

I've found that Ottos are one of the best algae eaters available. They need keeping in groups of at least 3 and it is best not adding them until your tank is well established and has plenty of algae already growing.

:/ Oh it has carpets of algea on the back wall and one of the sides (it is in a corner and it is a plesant looking back ground, it seems to stay off the plants. I plan to do IE on it and they might kill off the algea.

Ottos.. will they suck onto the BST or pearl gouramis? :/

what other fish can i add? haha

Some poeple say they do stick onto gouramis but I have ottos in both my tanks with gouramis and I have never seen any evidence of it. Wonder if they may do it if they are not getting enough food by other means.

I have oto's with my gouramis, and I have not once seen that happen. I've seen the "flying foxes", I think they're called, which look an awful lot like oto's stick to fish like gouramis.

mm.. I see.. Well i can always jsut buy three and haul them back to the store if they are a problem.
