can anyone tell me what tye of water other than the colderwater they prefer.. like acidic or whatever.. thanks..

IME they are fairly hardy when it comes to pH and hardness, as long as it stays stable, so if it were me, i would probably use the water straight out of the tap, add dechlor and leave it at that. HTH.

I agree, keep it stable and your fine. I can't imagine water from the tap not being ok for a comet.
