Hi
I have been thinking about getting more live plants and also planning on making a CO2 diffuser like this one.

And I was wondering if having the "yiest in a bottle" method, with the air tube going from the bottle to the Difusser, like this one one, could work.

I'm just not sure if the above product works the way I just explained, am I right...and will this work ??? anyone has other ideas, links or else????

Also, could someone please explain and/or post detailed pics of these 2 CO2 Systems:

Hagen CO2 Natural Plant System
Plant Gro Co2 Natural System

if you're a good diy-er go for it, build your own. But IMO for £20 (or even cheaper $20 in the US it seems) the Hagen kit is worth buying to save time and hassle.

Lots of people use the hagen kits on here and use their own yeast and stabaliser.

The picture in the link is pretty much it. It's dead easy to set up.

I am not a good DIY'er. I am a girl after all and cannot do anything mechanical or the like. I did manage to make my CO2 bottle thingy where I had to drill holes in the lids and silicone airline tubing to them *shock horror*.....and it was easy. And I use the yeast, water, sugar recipe thingy to make the CO2 and I use an airstone to diffuse it and...and...IT WORKS!! I have CO2 levels of between 15 and 25ppm for 2 weeks (the 15ppm occurs at the end of the 2 weeks when I top it up again).....

I would highly recommend it

Those 2 links at the bottom are the same product. When you buy the kit, the canister can either be sat on the ground, or attached to the tank near the diffuser. Basically, you put the sugar, contents from the pouch (which are sugar and baking soda), add water and attach the tubing to the diffuser.

I just did the diy route last night with a 2 litre pop bottle, and attached it to the diffuser from those 2 links. You could very easily use that diy duffuser with the pop bottle method.

alright thanks :)

I will consider both DIY or buying it, I wanted to build it because I'm planning on buying a good filter and upgrading one of my tanks so I have to save money were I can

I'm a girl to btw
