Hi,

I have 2 (2.5") clown loaches who get on well but one of them has always been a little shy, he used to hide in the ornamental ship i have but he's now decided he likes to stay on top of the heater.

The other one keeps on nudging him off when he wants to play but otherwise decides to play with the cories or chase the sharks around the tank (quite funny as he's nearly half their size at the moment),so i'm not too worried about him.

However, I'm worried that when the heater comes on when the weather gets cooler (it is my backup heater so doesn't come on as much as the other one) it may harm the other loach?

i dont think it will be much of a problem, when the heater switches on if it herts the fish it will move they feel pain just like anything else

In my experience Clown Loaches are happier in groups of 3 or more....... Maybe if you add another(depending on tank size).....your 2 maybe better?
