I'm in love, I just bought 2 clown loaches yesterday. I'm assuming they are hungry sincethey are picking at the gravel but they wont come up with my other fish to eat. They just hide. Is there some sort of sinking food for them? That way they won't be left out. Any other suggestions or things I need to know while taking care of them. Thanks!! Leah

you should be feeding a sinking loach pellet to them. they are probably hiding because theyare new to the tank and after a while they will venture out and become baver and braver and will come to the top to feed after a while. however they should still be feed the loach pellets.

Not to worry Leah, I also have two clown loaches and when I first got them I was sure that one of them jumped out of the tank or something becuase I never saw him. Well that was about 2 months ago and although they still favor hiding when the light is on, they do come out every day when I feed the tank.

I usually drop a pellet in at the same time I feed flakes to the rest of the tank. I don't know how they know but as soon as the pellet hits the gravel out they come and the clicking noises begin

try giving your clown loaches some cucumber. they love it and if you add a wieght so it sinks to the bottom it may tempt them out more.

Okay I must have a Mutant Clown or something. :alien: He has been in my tank for a little longer then a week now & he always feeds on top, usually swimming on his back while he sucks in as much food as he can. I have given the sinking pellets but those usualy sit & rot or sometimes eaten by my cory cat. He loves flake but goes wild :hyper: for bloodworms(he does a little dance for worms). Good luck with yours.
