Clown Loach size

Ok so after seeing some clown loaches at my LFS, I have been doing some research on them. I am rather confused about how large they grow. Some sources have said 6 inches where as other sources have said a max of 2 - 3 inches. So the question is, which source is correct.

I think its 13 inches... Not sure on it though

They can reach 12" but 8-10" is more common in captivity. They grow at a good rate to around 6" at which point they slow down drastically.

Yep, they grow to around 12 inches in the wild but usually stop at 8 to 10.

yup, they get big AND they prefer to be in groups.

saw one at a LFS, it was around 9 inches

it was MASSIVE!

Dont worry they take years and years to get to that size unlike some other fish who grow really fast and soon out grow their tank.

I've had mine for like 5 years in a 55 gallon, and they are only about 5 inches long, of course when I bought them they were quite small.

My answer is...neither. they can to a max of 12". but i have only seen them at 10" bfore
