cloudy water

My water in my ten gallon has been cloudy since setup a few weeks ago. is it algea or is it my tank and filter and substrate. there are also many algea blooms in the tank and they are really annoying. and suggestions as to the water and the algea blooms and how to get rid of this stuff. thanx

in a well lit tank algae blooms are mostly green, in a low lit tank algae blooms are mostly brown stuff covering the plant rock glass ..

in a newly setup tank cloudy water is normaly a sign of a bacteria bloom caused buy the cycle prosses of the filter/tank. This should clear in a week at most. if already have fish in your tank I would recommend a 30% water change every day till it clear.
