Particularly in this hot weather i have been doing small water changes daily to help keep the temp in the tank down, but whenever i do a change i get the urge to remove the visible waste from ontop of the sand substrate. Is this ok, or do I need to leave the substrate and associated bacteria etc alone to do their job and interfere less frequently?
