Cleaning Advice Please

How can I clean the hard white deposits on the edges of my aquarium lids? Is there a way I can safely do it without taking the lids off? Having trouble with my shoulder at the moment so I really don't want to take the lids off and carry them around, yet the white stuff is bothering me.

the white stuff (limescale) is ok left there until your shoulder is better as it wont do any harm, i know it looks unsightly , maybe someone can come and help you to sort this out for you, thats what i would do a good scrub with a some lemon juice works well but obviously without the lid on the tank
