probably 7-8. The only thing is, only 1 male can be in there or the males will kill each other.

The problem with this is, with lombordoi, the male and female are the same colors as juvies. When they are more mature the female stays the same color but the male turns all yellow.

Another catch is, the dominate male will turn yellow around 3" or so in general. Any other males will try and stay in the female coloration to keep from getting harrassed by the dominate male.

I know it sounds weird but cichlids are very complex sometimes. I'd get a bunch and cull them as they mature. Just make sure to only keep 1 male. :)
