cichlids with gouramis, guppies??

Is there any Cichlids that I can put in with my Dwarf Gouramis (2"), Guppies and Paradise fish (2")? I would assume if I can put any in, they would have to be dwarf cichlids. I do not want any fish over 4-5" big. No angels or discus and such, if discus are cichlids.
Somethings you might want to know. I do not want them for breeding, just for enjoyment. They would go in a 46 gallon bowed tank. The temperature currently is 78-80. The PH is 7.0-7.4. I do not plan on changing the water parameters. I like to keep it simple and use what comes out of the tap. The water is not soft, but not very hard either. Probably closer to the soft side, but the test said it was in the acceptable range? I have an emperor 400 filter, so I should have plenty of filtration. Lastly, things I have planned on putting in the tank in the future would be a bottom feeder and a snail.

You could add a firemouth. I saw some at my not so lfs with great color. Or try a few kribs. Just be careful if they pair off. You can get some apistos that would be great in the tank.

I was going to mention Kribs as well. I have never had Firemouth's so cannot comment on that. Hear they are nice fish as well. I did however have what you have some guppies, gouramis and a pair of Kribs. They can be a bit nasty come mating time, but all was peacful in my 25 gal tank and nobody got eaten. The new their boundaries.

Maybe someone else could answer this, if you were to put one Krib and one Firemouth is that okay? Just a thought to avoid the mating thing.

The firemouth gets a bit larger than a krib, but if you get them as juvis you could probably come out ok. Firemouths aren't that aggressive. But of course this all depends because all fish have different personalities. get a female krib and male firemouth for the best colors
