So... my shrimp have been in a tank on their own for going on 2 months now... and no sign of little ones. I've been reading up online and then thought maybe my ph was too high... and tested it and its 6.8... which seems to be fine... water stats on target, temperature on target, ph seems fine.... where are the babies?? Have been wanting them to breed so I could spread the offspring into my other tanks... but we aren't getting anywhere!

I am sure that at least 2 are males... I have 1 that I am uncertain about... has a touch of red to it but not as red as the definite females.

iv had mine about a 2 months as well and mine do seem to be breeding (iv got 15 of them. so male/females are in there). iv put it down to stress... maybe try feeding them high protein food? im thinking go trying this

I've been feeding mine the Hikari brand shrimp food and they've been licking their tank spotlessly clean as well. Maybe I need to feed them more?

I have 14, 11 females, 2 males and 1 not sure.

ohh wow thats a lot females to males. umm i dont know then i just know mine are not breeding either. kinda want an answer :p :shifty:

Yeah, you'd think at least one of those ladies would be making babies!

no comment on that i think iv got 5-6 females (there redder?)

Yes, females are redder, males are nearly clear and sometimes have hints of red. Females also have a "saddle" on their backs.
