Chens Discus

Just wanna make a quick post with my dealings with chens discus (uk), Have had 2 fish delivered, 2nd one i ordered was a large female penang but obviously a mistake was made and i got a male, keeping in mind this was delivered at 5am (he was on his way to ireland) so wasnt until i got the fish in the QT tank woke up a bit and had a look that i figured he was male, but after contacting francis (owner) hes giving me a free discus and letting me keep the penang, so thought id blow his trumpet and give him a bit of advertisement and a thumbs up. Not a direct topic about actual fish but still. Going down to his shop next weekend (dont drive hence why i got te first 2 delivered, 70 miles away so asked my dad to take me down) so i can pick my own discus, although ones i got delivered are nice fish and he obviously has quality stock now i've gotten past the 'any discus will do' phase (new to them) i wanna go pick my own fish.

So yeh if anyones looking for discus i recommend chens, google it will find his site hes in harrow, middlesex, think you need to let him know before going to his shop. He does monthly trips to scotland/ireland aswell.

I have spoken to his a few times and was pretty amazed that he actually delivers the fish himself. I live in Ireland and was given a very reasonable quote of £25 for shipping or £50 delivered to your door for no matter how many.
I'm friends with a fella who will buy in bulk from him and then add a few pound onto each fish as he sells them on so it covers his costs and he gets a little extra himself.

Yep he puts in the effort, haven't spoken to him face to face before its been a woman whos delivered the actual fish to my door and hes away at a show when i'll be going to his shop next weekend, but seems a sound guy.
