I have found many rules and acceptable behaviour for chat rooms
these are the top 10 things not to do.
When entering you should not:
1. Cuss, swear, harass, threaten, embarrass or cause distress or discomfort to another Chat user.
2. Transmit via Chat any text ("Content") that is or may be considered to be unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, pornographic, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, or in any way violates any basic human right of any person;
3. Impersonate any other Chat user.
4. Disrupt the normal flow of dialogue in Chat or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other users.
5. Intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law.
6. You should not flood or fill chat with text or emoticons
7. CHAT WITH CAPS, it’s like shouting and should be used sparingly.
8. Come into chat and not chat ... it isn't nice to ignore people - especially the friendly crowd we have!
9. Ask your question over and over and over ... well you get the idea. Everyone hates spam, and asking the same question repeatedly IS spam.
10. Complain that the lobby is too small - the chat room is resizable!
