Hello All,

I am planning on changing my sand, plants and ornaments in my 125 litre tank. I was just wondering if I could buy a smaller plastic tank to keep my fish in until this is all done.

How long can I keep my fish in the plastic tank with no filter, pump or heater?
If I was to keep most of the water from my existing tank could this go back in to my newly redesigned tank?
Will any of this sress my fish?

Thanks in advance :good:

p.s I have baby fish at the moment, but they are swimming with the big fish

they'd be fine in any sort of bucket/plastic tub for a short period of time (couple of hrs), the larger it is the better and if you can run a heater/filter in there it would be best.

it will stress them to an extent but if approached sensibly and well planned shouldn't cause any lasting damage

Thanks Miss Wiggle

I will get all organised so that the disruption to the fish is minimal

Thanks again
