I have a 70 litre tank, I did have a fluval 107 on it, but my filter had a faulty clip causing flooding, so I changed it to a spare fluval 207, I have celestial pearl danios and Ember tetras which I don't think they like the flow.
My 107 filter is coming back from fluval after a faulty clip being fixed, so I'm wanting to put it back on the tank, I will use the black sponge from the 207 and one tray of biomedia which will be seeded, but the blue and white sponge that fits down the side will be new, will this be okay, or could I have a spike, and do think the 107 is the right way to go for this tank.

You could cut up the blue and white sponge and add it to the baskets if your that worried, prolly what I would do. But I run a 407 not sure how many trays the 107 has.

I you have at least half the media seeded, the filter should go trough pretty well.

But anytime I do that kind of things, I keep an eye on ammonia and nitrite for a while. Easier to prevent than fix.

The 107 has two trays, on the bottom tray you have the Fluval black sponge I also have a fine sponge on top, this tray I will swop over, and on my top tray, I have biohome media which again I will swop over, only the blue and white sponges that go in the side will be new, so I'm thinking that will be enough, but I will do tests.

No idea :dunno: ....but I wanna see your tank entered into our Tank of the Month competition :hey:
