Celebes Rainbow

Just got some 2 celebes rainbows. Bought a pair because the at the LFS said they pair up? But anyway I heard that they like salt in there tank, but can do fine without so whats the deal?

Marosatherina ladigesi is a peaceful shoaling fish best kept in groups. It does perfectly well in freshwater and does not need salt. Easy to keep, easy to feed and easy to breed. Is more inclined to jump then many other rainbows in my experience. As with most rainbows, likes open swimming space but really does best in a tank with some well planted areas, ideally shaded spots with overhanging vegetation.
