anouther good idea is coconut shells they look just as good imo, tho are hard to make if u want them looking like that u have 2 drill a big hole in the top and have a hgood go at digging the inside out lol or do ya reakon the plecs withh eat it ? humm lol

There are plenty of options when it comes to cave building. I've seen people making caves out of cocnut as you say, bamboo, slate, wall tiles and even recently saw someone who'd made their caves out of lego.
