Heya!!

Iv posted about my new tank in here recently, iv got all my fish sorted apart from afew bottom dwellers! i dunno what to get 5 corys or some kuhlie loaches any ideas??

corys every time, just bought some schwartz for mne...they have already devolped charachters and i love the way they take ages to nibble at bloodworms! :D

I have albino, orange laser and bronze cories...love em all....in another tank have 4 kuhli's which are cool too. I do get to see my cories playing and active more, but the kuhli's are starting to come around and be out and about more.

Hi,

If you have the room you could get both i've kept a variety of corys with khuli loaches without problems but now have my snails in with the corys so the khulis have moved to the bigger tank with the clowns, zebras and chain loaches.

Emma :)

heya look at my post in this forum bout 2 under this one lol, its got specs and details of what i plan to have so can you tell me if i have room or not for both? im not sure :look:

i reckon you've room for both, mate! I have a variety of corys and 2 khulis in mine. The khulis are usually very quiet but they go mental from time to time and they're great fun to watch. 2 or 3 would be plenty.....
Just be very sure that you want them in there because they are very, very difficult to catch, especially in a planted tank.

5 panda corys and 2 loaches would be cool.....

oooooo yeah i bet they are hard to catch!! ill probably go with that but arnt pandas quite hard to keep?

i was laughing the other day in the store as they were trying to catch some - you are talking about 30 or 40 of them in a bottomless tank and they had trouble.

not quite up to the zebra danios type speed, but not far off it in nice little spurts. I like my leopard loach for that, he just sort of "waddles" around the tank.

My zebra loach however sneaks out the tree pipe, steals a tablet and sneaks back in to eat it. rarely see him without the aid of a dark room and a torch.

Why do you think pandas are hard to keep? i've never had any problems with mine. As long as your water quality is good and the gravel/sand is kept clean they should be fine. Use round gravel though so they don't injure themselves on sharp stones...
