Can Someone Help Me?

Alright so, a friend just gave me her fish because she wanted to get a reptile and needed the tank. Anyways I have a 5 galleon and I was doing some research and I found out that 5 galleons is too small for 8 fish and 2 suckers... I feel aweful.. it totally sucks.

I have so glass beads at the bottom and I just went and got some gravel to replave it to give them more room, but the thing is.. how? Do i do it while they are still in there, I've never changed the water yet because it's really new, I do have a bucket and siphon ready to go.. but how do I do this?

No matter what you do that tank is not big enough for all those fish so you have two choices
1. Get a bigger tank
2. Get them a new home quickly

hiya

can you possibly take some fish back to ur local lfs? or is there anyone you know who would want an extra fish or 2 or 3?

have you tested the water? - need to kdefinately keep up on the water changes

maybe you could take a small net full of the glass beads out and pour in some gravel - removing it all and replacing with new will surely deplete any good bacteria that possibly is there

or cycle a much bigger tank ASAP if you want to keep all the fish

YOu should but a 10 gallon for $10. then you could split them up.
