can i add stresscoat straight into my tank. i forgot to put my dechlor in yesterday during the water change . would i be okay adding it now < it being stresscoat obv. >

i thought the chlorine went from the water after 24 hours, i gather your fish are ok. Spose it wouldn't hurt to add it in now though

you can add it when ever but id be quite worried its been 24 hours since you did the water change.


are all your fish ok?

Add it in. Chlorine may dissipate, chloramine will not.

If you add something like Aquasafe now it will rid any chlorine instantly. If your fish are not showing any ill signs I'd say you've got away with it.

If you've only made a small water change, and your city's water isn't laced with high amounts of chlorine, you'll get away with it. Not something i would do regularly though.

And yeah, like Tolak said, if its chloramine, you'd better add it in.
