Can I separate a baby platy from the rest of my fish?

Good evening! I’m new to keeping platy fish. One of them gave birth a couple of days ago and I was wondering if I can keep the baby alone in another tank or would it be best to leave it where it is? I just want to give the baby the best chance of survival Thanks in advance

Yes you can separate it, just make sure the tank is cycled/ do daily water changes and that the water quality remains good.

Alternatively use lots of live plants to give it opportunities to hide/survive in the main tank.

You could leave that baby in there or just put it separate... Either way! If there are hiding spots, I'd leave it. Raising it solitaire won't be a problem either.
