Can anyone tell me why my guppys and platys been staying at the bottom?

Well it could be a few things..but first we need to know some information. What are your water parameters? (Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, temperature) Did you cycle your tank before putting them in? How did you do this? When did you purchase them? Do they have any external symptoms? Were there any recent additions like decorations, other fish, chemicals?
