Fish Crazy
Well it's finally happened. After a couple of months of watching my largest Flying Fox harrassing the smaller one, my son and I decided that today enough was enough. The trouble hasn't been too serious, because the smaller FF was always quick enough to escape, but today I noticed just how much smaller it was. Also, it has - in the last few days - taken to sitting in a corner of the tank behind a castle, and hardly venturing out atall.
My large FF didn't pay the slightest attention to any of the other fish - not even the goldfish, which I am surprised at. But the poor small FF was really looking down in the dumps today, so that was it.
After one hour and ten minutes, taking all the plants and decor out of the aquarium along with one of the filters and also half-emptying it, my son finally caught the larger FF (speedy little blighter!!) and we took it back to the LFS this afternoon, who were more than happy to exchange it for a couple of plants!
Now the smaller FF is looking much happier, and has been guzzling cucumber like it's going out of fashion. Let's hope it grows now that it won't have to run away all the time and not get a chance at feeding time.
I shall keep a close eye on it, though, as it grows, incase it starts to turn nasty. Fingers crossed it won't.
