My baby platys were about 6 weeks old this week, and swimming happily with the other fish. And then I noticed more new babies

So today, what with the power cut this morning, and the worry about overstocking, I managed to persuade Maidenhead Aquatics to take the older set of babies off my hands. I was keen to do it whilst my 7 year old was at the football, because I knew he'd be upset to see them go.

I had everything out of the tank, but I could only find 5 babies. I could have sworn there were 7 yesterday! But it's possible I double counted, or lost a couple in the power cut. I wouldn't be surprised if I find one I missed later today though

So the first babies are now gone, and their younger brothers and sisters now have room to grow :)

Hi are maidenhead aquatics good for taking fish off your hands? have you ever sold any to them?
thanks

I give Maidenhead Aquatics fish - they won't pay for guppies but i think they will for some others. I go to the one in Appley Bridge near Wigan - nice clean place, seems good.

They wouldn't pay for the platys, but I am happy to rehome them for free. I wasn't breeding for money, they were a little accident  I go to the one at Polhill, it's a lovely place, very helpful, and I have bought all my fish there with a 100% survival rate so far :)
