erm i think so looks like that ye but was prettier more colour sorry to offend is that was urs ,they were in tropical tanks with the swordtails in the store do you know about this fish?

It's not my pic, don't worry. :p

They grow to about 4 inches and stay at the top of the tank pretty much exclusively. They will eat anything that comes in range that will fit in their mouth. And their mouths are pretty big. Nothing under 2 inches should be kept with them and even then I'd be cautious unless it's a bottom feeder.

I have one in my community. They are safe with community fish as long as the other fish arent the size of its mouth or smaller. They have trapdoor mouths that are pretty big. They also dont really eat flake food so if thats all you have I would suggest buying a different food, maybe freeze dried bloodworms. Ask the employees to put some bloodworms in to see if they eat it to make sure they will eat bloodworms.

mine will eat flake and bloodworms, they have very large mouths mine always bites my fingers when i got to feed him. its best to have floating plant it give them a sense of security and makes them much happier. they are nocturnal hunters swo you will it see a fish be aten by them, its best only to keep fish over 2 inches with them pretty much anything under 2 inches will surely become a snack. hope this helps

can i just add that fin nipping fish such as tetras should be avoided as tank mates.. the last thing you want is his fins being nipped.
