Can anyone help identify these bugs that have appeared in the krill pellets that i feed my fish?
I've seen them around in the summer but they've taken up residence in the tablets and have ruined the whole lot. However i kept feeding the pellets to the fish without noticing the lavae were inside the pellets, now one of the fish has become ill and i dont know if these had anything to do with it.

I can't really tell how big they are from the pictures. Could you give the size?

EDIT: I would agree with Black Angel on ID as well as advice. As for your fish just do the normal water parameter check and if that seems fine just get new food and wait for improvement.

Thanks for that, they do look very similar although i'm not sure if they have the antenna like those in the photo. Maybe that grows as they develop more...

Any ideas if the lavae could cause damage to the fish that might have eaten them?

Wouldnt think they would do the fish any harm but the food might. Bin what you have left and buy fresh. Remember to keep it tightly shut.

If they're not designed to parasitize fish, would one concider them a tasty live treat for your fish and said sick fish a coincidence?
