I bought some adult brine shrimp from the LFS last week and I have used a lot of them, and many have died and are on the bottom, with a couple dozen still living. I was thinking maybe I'd just keep them, let them breed, and use them again later when there are more, but is that feasible? I'm not sure what salinity to put them in for breeding or what I should feed them or if it'd be too much work to keep them breeding in the tank. I don't want to be separating eggs and hatching them out somewhere else. They should lay them and hatch right there in the tank, right? I have a 1.7 gallon hex tank I'd be using.

If there is a good article on it point it out for me. I've only seen ones on hatching eggs and/or collecting them from the parents tank. Mainly I'm just wanting to know if its possible to keep an easy culture.

Thanks!
