i am just wondering how to get them to spawn in home aquria

you need to set up a small breeding tank with marbles on the bottom with a heater and a sponge filter. If your female looks bigger than normal shes ready to spawn. Its better if you sperate the male and females until its time. Then pop the female with two males if possible obviously one will be fine. If you do it in the evening it would be better turn out the lights and in the morning they should have spawned. If she has spawned the feel female will look noticably thinner. Remove the parents. Darken the tank, put a towel over it or something and then in 36 - 48 hours you should see the fry clinging to the side. Do not feed until the fry are swimming you can buy specilist food for them or grind normal food up really finely. YOu need to do weekly water changes in the breeding tank.

The fry wont survive in a community tank, the adults would more than likely eat them never mind the other fish.

I have a 15 gal tank with guppies platies and zebras... and one day vaccuming, i saw at the bottom of the bucket like 15 very small fry.
I had seen my cebras spawning like 5 days before, but i never knew this would happen!
I put them away in a 2 gallon... but sadly only 3 survived at this point (2 months later)

Save water from a water change in a bucket. Put in away in your laundry room or somewhere. Check it in about four, maybe, five days. You may find some tiny dots attached to the sides of the buckets. After a couple more days, look for tiny black dots with tails scooting through the water. Sounds crazy, but I have several long finned danios that I raised that way. Try it! Send me a PM and let me know how it turns out.
