I just recently purchased a new long fin albino oscar to put in with my orange tiger oscar. They both came from the same tank in the pet store but the oragange tiger (mort) was purchased before the pet store added the Albino's (so the albino's new to him). Right away the Albino went to work flattening the sand bottom and looks like ?she? is building a nest and they look like they are getting ready to mate but I'm not sure if they can or will.

Does anyone know if 1) the albino long fin and tiger can crossbreed?. and 2) they are only mabey 5inches so are they even old/big enough to breed?

I believe by that size they can (but Im not sure), see no reason why the two wont breed, so long as you have male/female, which you wont know unless you get fertilised eggies :)

please post pics of the long fin, i have never seen one.. please please please :)
they wonr breed yet, not till about 18 months even later.. post the pics or the teddy gets it!!!

yup the fish dont hit sexual maturity until around 18months old. you can get some that mature a little earlier (12/14months) but no earlier
