Boiled Rocks For The Tank.

In my excitment to get my tank ready, I boiled up several Shale rocks and other stones I picked up from the beach that I thnk will work. Thing is, that was over a week ago, and I can't even get the tank setup because the items I ordered to go in it are no where in sight.

Since they have sat in a cardboard box and will for the next few weeks (still have to fishless cycle the tank, now that I have read about the process), do I need to re-boil them?

It also ticks me off that I can't find the right testing equipment to allow me to at least test for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate...Grrrrr. Something else I have to order off of the internet and wait for.

Personally if they were mine and I had only kept them in a cardboard box after boiling them then I wouldn't think they needed reboiling.

no they won't. all the harmful bacteria from the beach should be dead
