Bogwood Help

Hi everyone
I have this beutiful piece of bogood that just doesnt want to stay down
so do any of you have a way to keep it down i have a piece of rock that keeps it down but just a few inches from the bottom

Are you sure its bogwood, as ive never had a piece of bogwood not sink. Bogwood is black/dark brown. If it is then just weigh it down in a bucket or such itll eventually water log itself and stay down :)
 
it is definatly bogwood I got it at a garden store in the pond section and had it in a pond for a while
but the other day I cut it to fit my tank could that be the reson :unsure:
 
If you ever have the problem again, I'd get plant weights. They're little bendable metal weights that you could wrap around the bottom of it, then cover it in gravel so you don't see them.
 
Stick it to a piece of slate and bury the slate in the Gravel. Bogwood today is not the real bogwood of yesteryear. The bogwood we got back in the early seventies was dark brown and so heavy it sank like a rock, todays bogwood seems light coloured by comparision and quite often acts like cork.
