Blue Gourami...

Hi there....

I was at a Garage sale today looking for tanks ....and while driving home without finding anything i happen to go to one more which happened to have a small dirty 10 gal. with no filter/heater on it.....to my surprise/disgust there was a 2" blue gourami in it....i couldnt believe it....i was dumb founded that someone could keep a fish like this...anyways i bought it and placed him in my 50 gal with a pair of clown barbs and my new baby severum.....The gourami has been in the tank for about a day now and seems to be adjusting well.......but i've read that they need to be in groups of 2-or more...will he be ok? Or should i make the effort to get him some buddies? Any info on them would be great! I just hope i can give him a better home than he was given before...I've looked for disease and he seems to be free of it...but i will be keeping a close eye on him for the next few days...anyways thnx for any info/help!

Thats so great of you for saving the little guy I can't believe how some people keep their fish. I always thought that gouramis were a little agressive with one another, but I could be wrong. Ive always kept one at a time, but I would love to have more if thats possible.

Thnx for the reply abe....and the pinned article helped... i just want to know if i should maybe get a buddy or two for him...I've seen them at my local Ifs. Again thnx for the help!!!! The Guorami says thnx to.
