Blue Gourami

I have 2 blue gourami in my tank. One swims gr8 and normal and the stupid one keeps laying in the bottom of the tank. She is normal no symptoms on it. Could it be shy. She swims gr8 when feeding time , and moves normally. My question is y does it sit all the time in the bottom. Anothere question how can i know a male gourami from a female one. Thanks
