Yummmmm....!!!!
Blood worms...
IMG_7486.JPG

When I go to our Poecilia meetings, I always get myself a paper with a good portion of blood worms... And this way it's cheaper than buying me those small sachets every time...

Nothing like that around where I live. When I was a kid my dad used to be able to get live tubifex worms from what looked like a slushy dispenser.
Back in time my father always put a jar of tubifex in the toilet tank so that there was clean water after every flush.

That’s what the old timers in the hobby used to say to do . There used to be a Mom and Pop here in my little one dog town years ago I bought live tubifex from . I sure wish the new shops would do that . Are those live blood worms ? Nothing like live worms to make any fish go nuts .

Where have tubifex worms gone? Haven't seen them for sale anywhere near here, don't see them frozen, in our shops at least.
That’s the best question of the day . All I can find is the old standard freeze dried cubes . There was a thread about tubifex and a guy said he had live tubifex appear in his substrate after feeding freeze dried tubifex . Same thing happened to me once . Tubifex eggs must be bombproof . Now I’m thinking . . . .

Those are indeed live worms. Live food over dried or frozen food, to be honest. And for sure when we speak about certain wild livebearer species I've got overhere.

They were much more creative and practical in those days... But I do have to admit that I'm just like that as well. So, my parents did have some influence on me...

Overhere, live tubifex are still sold without any problems. So, I don't know why you guys haven't got them anymore.
