3 of my 6 black neon tetra have white spot! My mom is going to get some medication for it when I'm at school tomorrow morning. Will the medication harm the shrimp in the tank with them? My heater does not have an adjuster. Please help, what else can I do?

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

You need to raise temp to 30 with whitespot, and increase aeration as the high temp and med reduce 02 in the water.
If you can't turn your heater up I would buy a new heater.

You need to get the med fast as whitespot can be a fast killer once it affects the gills.

It's a ten gallon tank.
My tank stocking:
6 Black Neon Tetra(6 of which are now infected x_x)
5 red cherry shrimp
Last time I checked,(2 days ago) pH was 8.4 and Ammonia was 0.10 or so. Will post the Nitrite/nitrite later.

I bought a brand of Ich medication called RidIch+ or something like that. I got 50% of the tank water, put it in a five gallon, filled up the rest of the five gallon with dechlor tap water, put a fake plant and a terracotta pot in there with a filter with mature media, and put the Red Cherry shrimp in the five gallon as I heard that the medication could kill the shrimp. Then I filled back up the water in the 10 gallon and added the RidIch+. I am going to add 2 tsp of salt, but it'll probably kill the plants :( .

Good luck.

Good luck.
Thanks. I bought a new heater, and am in the process of raising the temperature to 85(that means the shrimp get the old filter!). It looks like some of the spots are gone, so things are doing well! No deaths yet, either.

That's good news then.
Let me know how you get on.
