Hello, I am looking for another eel like fish to put inot my 30 u.s. gallon. I would like to put in a Bichir, but I don't know of any that are small enough. Is there one that could live in my 30 galllon?

Also I'm taking the mollies out, and relocating them.

yes there is a bichir for a 30 gal. a Senegal bichir, i have one in a holding tank now. but if you want one you should have a sand substrate or fine gravel. it depends how long it is and high too. i would go with a longer tankt than high. and it depends if you would keep any other fish in that tank. dont keep a pleco in with a bichir. make sure that there is no way that he could get out, they are good at escaping. in the fish index there is a profile on them i think. do some researching about them to make sure i am right.

I wouldn't plan on keeping even a Senegalus in a 30 gallon for life. They're a very active Bichir, and thrive with a large amount of swimming space. The minimum tank size for a Bichir should be at least a 55 gallon tank.

Ropefish are members of the bichir family, your 30 is really maxed out aas far as fish go IMO-Anne
