I wandered into the office room today and notice the 2 albino cories getting chased all over by the 4 bronze again.. looked closer and the tank was covered in eggs!
At first i thought "cool, wonder if i can put them in a net in the 18" tank with the other cory fry?" Then i noticed the young Tiger barbs trying to eat them.. and not suceeding, there was young barbs with eggs stuck to all parts of them

I watched the going on for a bit and noticed one barb that was sinking, and lying sideways, with an egg stuck to it's mouth, well the egg had stuck to both sides of it's jaw, and basically blocked its mouth! i scooped him up, and manged to prise the egg out of his mouth with a jewelery screwdriver, and put him back in.. he sank to the bottom heavy breathing, but after a while he recovered - must have been suffocating!

I then set too in a frenzy to remove the eggs, lots and lots of eggs.. i put them in a net above an airstone in the 18 with cory fry. and them chased the barbs round with a net removing the eggs, and bits of eggs, from them. The female cories are now lying down in a corner looking utterly knackered, and im sat in the seat opposite looking the same! lol :zz

Looks like i noticed just in time - i've lost one barb with suffocation :rip: , but hopefully, i collected, or popped all the eggs. My only only concern now, is have the other barbs overfed on the eggs that popped, or didnt stick their gobs together.. :/ -_- :dunno:

wilder has told me that you really cannot overfeed a fish unless they have a bad digestive systemalthough on occation my friends overfeed my fish and they look like a ball for 2 days they never die(they dont come over often anymore lol)

thats a little more reasuring :) there was a lot of eggs tho, that i had to pop.. a mother load of protein, might end up with super barbs, lol!
