just in need of some advice on how i can show off my fishes colours a little more?? brough a few fish over the last few months as was realy attracted to the colours of them in the shop but it seems that my light in the tank isnt doing them any justice....can i buy a diferent kind of light to go in my tank to show off the colours better???

i have a jewel record 60 tank with standard light system that come with the tank.. if i can get a new light tube what would you recommend and will they be easily available for my light fitting??

thanks

Get a colorful light for u tank and get some colorful fish it and change the background and decoration make it look lighter.

depending on what light i go for will i need a completely new lighting unit or will i just need the tube light to fit into my existing lighting unit??

the moonlight u are talking about is it one bulb or 2 as i have seen a light somewhere that i think is called moonlight and if ime right it uses to bulbs and puts the moonlight on 1st then a daylight bulb on shortly after an then turns off the daylight and keeps the moonlght on for s short time after?? something to do with not scaring the fish with sudden on and off light

you add one into the excisting socket, you should use either two growlux bulbs or one growlux and one bluemoon. if you are using the original bulbs that came with the tank, should be two.....then buy another which should be the bluemoon one and just add it to the lid of the tank but dont get the ones that go in the tank as they dont work as good.

You can have it to come on 1 hour before the main lights then 1 hour after the main lights but its up to you how you have it. When mine is setup it will be on a timer so that it comes on b4 the main lights and after them too but i will sometimes switch it on through out the day just too highlight the fishes colours.
