Betta Tank

I would say no. If you can get around twenty liters, it would be much more suitable.

I agree 20 litres minimum, 30 would be better. Have a look on ebay or Gumtree they often have small tanks at bargain prices

Just check the gumtree website in your area for fish tanks (preferably around 10 gallons) You can pick up fish tanks pretty cheap on there, and it would be better for the betta if he was in his own tank. A 14 litre tank is just abit too small for a betta.

Idk on liters to gallons but I have a five gallon tank for my betta.

I have my crowntail in a 5.5 gallon tank.  Wish that I had room for a 10 gallon though.

Thanks, for the help, i think it is certain i should buy a tank that is 5 gallons or more. However it may take some time until i have the tank so will the betta be fine in my community tank?

Most of the fish in there shouldn't bother him, but he might bother other fish, too. Just check for any signs of aggression from other fish and towards them. Look for any hiding behavior. Try to get a suitable tank soon.

The betta does like to spend time in one third of the tank, but everything seems peacefull. I think he spends time in that section as the filter flow is pointed away from that section

It's normal for them to have favorite places. If those places are behind a filter or heater or in a corner, that is a sign of stress. Just keep an eye out for that kind of behavior. If you don't see anything like that, then it should be fine for him for a while.
