Betta Coming Up

I have a friend who wants a betta. She has a 2.5 gallon auarium, where he will live until she gets a 5 gallon aquarium. When she has that, can a platy and a catfish live with the betta? 8)

I wouldn't advise platys in a 5 gallon they can get quite big and they are active fish so there no room.
Wha type of catfish, three corys will be fine in the 5 gallon, no less than 3 corys.

I think just some small catfish and a betta would be aok, like Wlder said, maybe 3 pygmy cories.

Can any other fish stay in there, besides cats n' a betta?

It would be too small to keep other fish in there, I'm afraid and Bettas can be aggressive towards other tankmates. Most people will recommend bottom dwellers such as cories, ottos etc. as the Betta will most likely ignore them.
