Ok, I am getting my Beta either an Eclipse Explorer (2 gallons, no light) or a Mini Bow 2.5 today. He is currently in the Eclipse 3 gallon with the others until I can get his new home ready. I want to make sure not to carry the brown algae into the new tank. Other than thoroughly rinsing in water, is there anything I can do to clean the gravel and small plant from his old bowl that had all the brown algae in it?

Thanks!

I don't know if most people do this but I do and IME it works pretty well. I vacume the gravle, then boil it for 10 minutes. Then I take steel wool and take out the algea. I find its easier to get the algea off after beeing boiled. Just my oppinion.
