Best Tank Ever?

The best tanks I have ever seen are all here and are an utter inspiration:

Just wade your way through the pictures of all those beautiful tanks and imagine what your (OK, I mean actually my) tank could look like. Pay special attention to the SIZE of the tanks to match it to the one(s) you have because you'll come back to the ones that match and go 'noooooo waaaaaaaay'.

I know all these amano style tanks are popular - i've evenm had my own go at one. But they are starting to get a bit samey.

I wish takashi amano would do for would and rocks what he's done for plants!

My favourite is still the bloke from the local reptile shop's marine tank. Bloomin' beautiful. You can see it here:

Oh FGS, what's with editing out links to other sites? It's not as if you're going to lose members to other forums - because most of us already use them anyway lol. How can folks recommend other sites (not just forums) if they're just edited out when we post?

Pah. It's on UK Aquarists forum, photo contests, July's s/w TOTM winner.

This tank, but if i was going to make my own ultimate tank it would be much more natural and i would have more than just fish or plants, it also wouldn't be of any specific biotype.....exept tropical freshwater, defiantly not marine.
I would put as much emphasis on making it natural as possible, like temperature being cooler at night and lights that fade out slowly rather than just going straight off. It would even reflect the seasons outside with lighting and temperature, and would be very densely planted with very fast growing plants (like hygrophila polysperma) so the fish (and shrimp) could breed. I wouldn't do big water changes, just stock it relatively low with big shoals of smaller fish(4 inches MAX, tetras, corys danios, glassfish) and only a couple of big ones like plecs and synos. provide as big a biological filter capacity as possible. It would have a system to top it up with simulated rainwater (which would be colder than the tank water) water as when it evaporates to a certain level. The only real cleaning i would do is scraping algae off the glass. Oh, and i would have freshwater mussels or clams(if i could find ones that wouldent breed and harm the fish).
I could go on with my plans lol....maybe one day.
