Best Shrimps For Tropical Freshwater Tank

Hi, I've been trawling the internet for a shrimp specie to put in my aquarium, however, they all seem to be for marine tanks. What shrimps are available for freshwater? Also, Im a novice at keeping fish, so I wouldnt want anything too hard to keep. Thanks

I had 3 shrimp and they have now vanished

Cherry Shrimp or Amano Shrimp are the best two options for tropical community tanks. There are other options, things like green shrimp and singapore rock shrimp but amano shrimp and cherry shrimp seem to do best in the tropical communities. They shoal in thousands in the wild and obviously you can't recreate this at home but try to get at least 6 of a species in your tank and don't be surprised if you don't see them too often. They are fantastic hiders and will very rarely be seen at first.
