I saw this film a while ago and i thought it was so good. Its my movie genre (media studies!), Its about (i copyed and pasted this from here http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1800020517/details , is that OK?)
This urban fairytale and a story of sexual awakening is set in the close-knit, working class community of the Thamesmead Estate, where there are no secrets and no opportunities for privacy, and where the next door neighbor is likely to be a cheeky young woman who loudly plays albums by the Mamas and the Papas while growing increasingly obsessed with Mama Cass. Here the focus is on Sandra and her teenage son, Jamie. Sandra works as manager of a local pub, hoping to one day own a place of her own. Jamie, in the meantime, is the kind of student who hates athletics and is victimized by his peers. Jamie's neighbor at Thamesmead, Ste, is a popular jock at the school, but Ste has his own problems at home. One night, Ste seeks refuge at Jamie's flat, where the two boys share a bed, and the foundation for first love is set.

If i am alowed then i will get the film off of youtube for you, its in 10 parts tho i could just line them up,

Sean

So like Brokeback but on a council estate? Not really my kind of thing, I'm more "American Beauty" myself - presumably, in keeping with your "my genre" idea, this would be because I am heading for 40 and in the middle of a permanent "This can't be all there is" frame of mind :)

Glad you liked it though. It's always nice to find a film that speaks to you.

Yeah, any gay drama comedy type movie im there. I love all of those films. I like this coz i canm sorta relate.

Ok, I wrote a whole thing to you about gay art then realised that on your profile it says you're 15, so I can't talk to you about it.

September 2007: A production of Beautiful Thing will take place at the South London Theatre - and you'll be 16 by then and may be allowed to go see it if you wish.
