one of my friends is a bass fisherman and he wants to put a baby one in a tank. what r your thoughts on it

i would have to disagree, depending on the size of the bass, the species, how long you are keeping it, how big the tank is, how long are you going to quarantine it. Most keepers of bass have a 300+ gallon tank or a pond for the fish, so i would most likely say no to your friend.

Well said Saw.

Does your friend have a huge tank? It would be quite interesting if he has the right environment and such. :]

You would need an enormous tank and they will eat anything that will fit in their mouth. It would be cool though to have a big enough tank and keep bass, carp, channel catfish and bluegill. That would be awesome. But the bluegill wouldn't last very long. BUt like has been said, you would need at 300+ gallons and even then it would be a lot of work and incredibly expensive with the chillers and all of that.

lol, no wild bass are crazy and only be kept in like a pond or something it may even break your tanks glass. but you could toatally put a baby bass in a 75 gallon tank for a few weeks with a diet of worms, dragonflys and frozen foods.

i did tell him that he would need a huge tank and that a pond would be bettter but he dident listen. he is keeping the bass alone
