or just use a bin liner for a black background can get some great effects

I just use black card...........available at most stationary shops.....

(or free at work if you work in the printing industry like me!)..

Cheers folks,sometimes the simplest ideas work the best,bin bag and card mmmmmm!

theres draw backs to card and black bags ive found.......
with card if you spill water down the back like i do allll the time then it gets soggy and gets recked in the end.

with black bags if not put on corecctly then it tends to 'crinkle' and also look messy.also when taking a piccy of your tank it reflects the flash etc.
if i was you id have a go at painting it , ive heard it peels off but if you use the right stuff it should look good.
if you dont paint it black bags will be the second option. imo

I just blew up an image of rock I had and printed my own background to fit my tank.

I just used acrylic paint for the tank. If you don't like it, it easily chips off.
