background plant ideas?

im looking for a nice background plant.

i have 2.7 wpg with co2

i had cabomba and it didnt go to well, it didnt shed or anything, it was just always weak and when it got to long it couldnt hold itsself up.

i was thinking about hornwort, but the idea of no roots bothers me. since i had a hard enough time holding down my cabomba.

any other ideas?

How about water wisteria or water sprite. They can grow tall, do well in not greatly light tanks, hardy, get bushy and you can replant the clippings when they get too big.
