Finally evicted my guppy babies yesterday. They are about 3 quarters of the size of my neons so I'm hooping they'll be ok. I let them out a couple of weeks ago but they just went into a plant and stayed there, the other fish were trying to get at them so I quickly collected them and put them back into the breeding net. When I first let them out yesterday I gently lowered the net and let them swim out but they immediately took one look and swam back in the net! Little wimps! Anyway a coule of hours later I said to them you can't live your life in the net so chased them out again. Kept my eye on them last night and they are swimming about the tank ok and the other fish have jsut been taking a look and not bothering them
Checked them this morning and they now seem quite happy! Must be nice to have so much more room to swim and explore, I can now see that they are starting to colour up and also see what sex they are.
'Daddy' was eyeing them up! I don't want them to breed so I'm giving the females to my son and just keeping any males cos dads colour is gorgeous, his tail is blue and his front half is yellow so I asume the baby males will be similar.
