Tank was fully fishless cycled, and because people told me to "read up" ive put a few community fish in the tank.

Last night I added 5 neon tetras and tonight Ive added 1 angel fish and 5 ghost/glass fish.

Will monitor the water and do weekly 20% changes and see how things go

Ive fed them tonight and some were straight after the food, some were just hiding..

will leave it a couple of weeks before I add any more and see how things go

Not sure I understand your first sentence....

Don't add too many fish at once! You're adding a lot to your bioload. You need to make sure your bacteria adjusts to any changes and it best does that slowly.

Just on a side note for you, the Angel fish will likely try and eat the Neon Tetra with some success (if not total), when it gets older.

Yeh I also don't really understand your first sentence.
I think neons and glass catfish can be quite sensitive so it might have been better to leave them until the tank had been running for a bit longer. I've also heard that adult angels might eat neons.

adult angels will eat neone...its just the way the food chain is.

They also prefer to be in groups rather than one on his/her own.

how bigs your tank?

Neone are a bad choice of first fish to put in your tank, as there wusses...i did exactly the same with my first tank...although they looked quite good for a few days

yeh they were just added to get some fish in theretank is 120Lthe tetra had a go at the angel, then retaliated, maybe he wont do that again LOL Sorry, people told me to read up on what fish to get, not to read up on cycleI thought I would just get some communal fish and see how they interact

I have always been under the impression that a fishless cycle will mean you can add pretty much full stocking as you will have more than enough bacteria to cope with it. Obviously if you don't add the full compliment some bacteria will die off leaving enough to cope with the bio load so then you would have to add slowly.


I am not quite sure I understand the OP either.
